How should this medication be used?
The recommended dose of modafinil for an adult with narcolepsy ranges from 200 mg to 400 mg daily. The total daily dose is usually divided into 2 doses, one taken in the morning and the other around noon. Daily doses usually start at 200 mg and then the doctor increases them as needed, sometimes up to a maximum of 400 mg per day.For adults with obstructive sleep apnea, the usual daily dose of modafinil is 200 mg, taken as a single dose in the morning.
